Serious Language Student
Flashcards
Vocabulary is the hard part of learning such non-European languages as Arabic, Chinese and Japanese.
As every experienced language learner knows, first one learns the grammar of the language, its syntax and how its sentences are put together. But, to learn the language truly, one faces the large, additional task of learning vocabulary. This is particularly challenging in the case of non-Western languages, where in the basic vocabulary there are essentially no cognates and one must learn all words on a clean slate.
Click to the right on the language you are studying to see how Serious Language Student Flashcards can help you succeed in mastering an adequate target language vocabulary.
